Happy 4th of July from Mayor Greg Meister
This Independence Day, we celebrate more than just fireworks—we celebrate real progress, together.
Roads: After 18 years behind schedule, we’ve gone from resurfacing just 5 miles of roads per year to over 20—and we’re aiming for 30 miles next year.
Safety: We’ve implemented a No Camping Ordinance to keep parks, sidewalks, and business fronts clear, giving our Police Department the tools they need to keep our streets clean. We’ve also added a dedicated homeless abatement crew to clear encampments throughout our city.
Regulations: As promised, I’ve cut regulation and red tape, making Porterville more business-friendly. With your support, I’ll continue reducing regulations to make Porterville the easiest place to do business in the valley.
Growth: We’re actively engaging major developers to bring more homes, more businesses, and more opportunities to Porterville.
This is your city. Your future. Let’s keep building it—together.
Happy Independence Day.
